Welcome: If this is your first MBTI Team Building Workshop, or if you have attended several MBTI Workshops over the years, please do not panic. We at the Strategic Path Group pride ourselves on our ability to connect with our audience and quickly establish competency and trust. We are masters at creating an environment where all are comfortable to share and learn about each other. Direct participation is optional, you can elect to participate by being an observer. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your assigned workshop facilitor.
Our Workshop Goal: To help you connect and understand your innate personality type, connect with the personality types of others, and realize that all types bring gifts to themselves, others, and the company.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator: Even if you have taken the MBTI in the past, we want all to take or retake the MBTI as a part of the team building process. Know that your MBTI reported type will only be shared with you after you have self-selected your type within the workshop. The MBTI is only an indication of your personality type and has nothing to do with IQ or mental health.
The Proper Mindset When Taking the MBTI: The MBTI is designed to help you determine your innate personalty type, thus, it is important that you answer the questions with your most natural response. Just like when you pick up a pen to sign your name, you have a natural preference to use either your right-hand or your left-hand. The same applies when taking the MBTI, pick the answer that is most natural to you, most comfortable, and most likely response. We have found that the best mindset to have when taking the MBTI is to be in a “Shoes-Off” state of mind. Remember, this information is private to you so you can better understand yourself and others. The more accurate the report, the more you will benefit from this experience.
